Dear Susan Sheary, Okay folks! The time is extremely near when the ballots should arrive in Washington voter's mailbox. This Saturday we plan to mobilize with a door-to-door outreach campaign. We will distribute literature, answer questions, and urge people to vote to Approve Referendum 71. Who: You and me. What: HIT the streets and KNOCK on some doors! Join the Approve 71 campaign volunteers for some good, old fashioned door knocking. Everybody knows that the best way to make an impression is to speak to someone face to face. When: Meet Saturday, October 17th, between 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. We will carpool out to our turf, canvass, and should be back by no later than 4:00 p.m.
Where: Approve 71 Campaign Offices, 720 7th Ave., Seattle, WA 98104 (206-324-2570) How: If you have transportation, bring it. We will be carpooling to locations throughout Metropolitan Seattle and surrounding communities. Be sure to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing (think layers), bottled water, and snacks. Why: To keep our Domestic Partnership Law and ensure fair treatment for all Washington families, of course! Let us know you will be showing up! Click here to RSVP. Thank you so much! Darci Larsen Approve 71 Field Manager PS: And don't forget, if you can't make it out to canvas, we still can accept contributions totaling less than $5000 to keep the Approve71 TV ad on the air between now and the last day to vote, November 3rd. Go to http://www.actblue.com/page/approve71ontheair to see the ad and donate.
